The former Black Meteors midfielder is delighted to participate in the recent AFCON with the Black Stars of Ghana held in Cameroon.
The Genk forward, however, believes the future looks great for the senior national soccer team with the blend of the younger ones.
The player was in a dazzling form and produced a scintillating display during the AFCON.
He had a great time for Ghana and became a poster boy after the tournament despite Ghana’s early exit.
Paintsil expressed excitement for being part of the team and also discussed about the team’s future in an interview with Original Tv.
“I was really happy to represent Ghana. It was my dream. I felt so good and I was prepared for that.
“Is a great opportunity and I also tried to give out. I had some playing time, I tried to deliver. We have some young talents and we are having a great future”. says the Jupiler Pro League player.
Paintsil has made four appearances for the Black Stars since his debut in 2017. He is hoping to impress the nation in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
