Coach Kassim Mingle will hope to claim his first major coaching silverware when he leads Bechem United to battle the holders, Accra Hearts of Oak in the final of the 2021/22 MTN Ghana FA Cup on Sunday, 26th June.
The coach has his sights on winning on Sunday to lift the trophy for the Hunters after six years.
Bechem United won the Ghanaian FA Cup 2015/2016 for the first time in the club History after they claimed a 2–1 win over Okwawu United at the Cape Coast Stadium in September 2016. Yaw Annor scored the brace in the final.
The 64-year-old has a unique opportunity to silence his critics and write his name in his history folklore ahead of the hugely-anticipated final against the Phobians.
The Hunters boss said his team is not afraid of meeting Hearts of Oak in this fixture following their impressive run in the just ended GPL season.
Speaking ahead of the game with Original 91.9FM, he said, “We are not looking at their defeat to RTU, we are not looking at that side. A team can lose about six but he can also return to beat u. Is football. We are doing our preparations to silence them.
“We are not afraid of any team. Football is a about strategy. We have their plans because we have played with them twice this season and we are going to hold them.
“At the end of the day we will be champions.” He concluded.
