Accra Hearts of Oak boss, Samuel Boadu has set his eyes on defending the MTN FA Cup title to please the fans of the club when they play Bechem United this Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
The team is hoping to get back on track despite the headache of not winning none of their last five games in the just ended Ghana Premier League.
However, Samuel Boadu is keen on beating the Hunters to defend the title to make the support proud despite their winless run.
“FA Cup is different from the league. With this preparations, the playing body have seen that things are not going on well for us so the last that we have to do to please the supporters is win the FA Cup. We are going to prepare mentally and psychologically to do well and bring the cup back,” Boadu stated in a post match interview after the defeat to RTU.
Hearts of Oak have suffered four defeats, and one draw in their last five fixtures but they are optimistic of winning their second trophy of the season.
They defeated their rivals Asante Kotoko months ago to win the President’s Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The winner from the Sunday’s fixture will feature in the next season’s CAF Confederations Cup to represent Ghana.
