Linares Deportivo goalkeeper, Razak Brimah says he has a “hunger and desire” to break back into the Ghana squad for the World Cup after five years.
The goalkeeper was part of Ghana’s 2015 and the 2017 AFCON squad. He guided the national team to reach the finals of the 2015 AFCON but lost on a penalty shootout to Ivory Coast.
Brimah says he is well prepared to get back into the team.
The 35-year-old Spanish goalie in an interview with Accra-based Original FM dropped his desire to be part and give out his best to the team during the World Cup.
“I am well prepared for a call up. I am not afraid of the goalkeepers there but is all about respect and training. Mine is to train, work hard and respect.” He stated.
Comparing his form to the current goalkeepers at the national team, he added; “In this time you can’t say you are better than them, what someone has done maybe you’ve not achieved that but I feel that I can do more.” Razak ended.
Brimah, who plays for Spanish third-tier side Linares Deportivo, has been capped 27 times for Ghana since his debut in 2013.
