WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship: Ghana beat Ivory Coast to finish third, Golden Eagles clinch the ultimate

The hosts proved too strong for the Ivorians in the third and fourth clash at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Ghana rounded up the competition in fine fashion with a 3-2 comeback victory over Ivory Coast to earn the bronze medal.

The Baby Elephants took an early lead but the first half saw both sides ending with a 1-1 scoreline.

Richard Apokum, Abdul Razak and Abdul Rashid each scored a goal for the Black Starlets, as the hosts claimed the third place with 3-2 victory.

Later this evening, Nigeria also defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final stage to win the ultimate prize at the 2022 WAFU Zone B Championship.

The two finalists, Nigeria and Burkina Faso will play at the upcoming U17 Africa Championship.
