Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Larry Ibrahim Sumaila is on his way out of the club following the expiration of his contract.
Sumaila’s contract with Hearts of Oak expired on 31st May, 2022 and he is set to sign a deal with a new club.
The former PAOK defender signed a two-year deal with an option to extend it by another year based on his performance. He made his debut during the 2019 GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition on 25 May 2019, starting and playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–0 loss to Dreams FC.
He has previously had stints with Greek giants PAOK before joining the Ghanaian side in 2019.
The forgotten but dedicated Hearts player has reportedly impressed some clubs from North Africa and the Western Asia, Ghanasportspage.com understands.
A post on Larry’s official Facebook handle after the FA Cup victory over Bechem United can clearly indicate that he is on his way out of the club after two years.
“Indeed After Every Hardship There’s Ease.”
“Very Proud Of Myself For Not Giving Up And Believing In Time 2nd Trophy of The Season And 5th Trophy Of My Proffession✌️God Bless Y’all For The Prayers ✌️🙏 Truly Hardwork Dedication and Patience wins Everything 💪🏽”
Larry Sumaila right-back has been restricted to the bench, and has suffered to have an enough playing time after the departure of their former coach Kosta Papic.
The defender was out of favor at the Phobians camp this season before he had the opportunity to play in the GPL against Bibiani Gold Stars last month at the Accra Sports Stadium and the chance came due to the outbreak of an unknown disease at the camp of the Rainbows.
More to drop soon…
