Head coach for Bechem United, Kassim Ocansey Mingle says Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are stronger than the other GPL clubs spiritually.
The dynamics of football in Ghana and Africa at large has its spiritual aspect which is religiously followed by African clubs. In many instances, team supporters take charge of the spiritual aspect by ensuring whatever ought to be carried out, will be strictly adhered to. Spiritual stories of all kind have been shared by supporters in many times.
The Hunters gaffer, Kassim Mingle insists how Hearts of Oak and Kotoko approach games is different from the other clubs spiritually.
Coach Mingle finds it difficult to understand how the Rainbows came from behind to punnish them during the MTN FA Cup final on Sunday, and his statement is leading to juju allegations.
Speaking to Accra-based Original FM, Coach Mingle said, “I don’t find it difficult when playing against Hearts of, not at all. In Accra this season we could have beaten them but we couldn’t.
“The name Hearts of Oak is big and I have young boys who are now coming up.
“Hearts and Kotoko are big clubs. Even every child knows.
“Hearts of Oak are spiritually strong. Their support base is also strong. Look at the Circle and the Chapters. Do we have some?
“Concerning spiritual things the support does for the, pray, and do other things to back the team. These are the ways and means they do to win games.
“Where they will move to, u cannot go.
“What they do on the pitch….is not all of the things that are supposed to be discussed.
“Is part of the game but a small u cannot go where they will go.
“In the FA Cup that we played what shows that Hearts can beat us and even when we were down by one man after the 65th, we were still pressing them.
“In football some goals are normal but those who understand the game understand it.” Says Coach Kassim Mingle.
Bechem United lost 2-1 in the 2022 MTN FA Cup final on Sunday to Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports.
