Head coach for Bibiani Gold, Michael Osei has revealed their week 7 game against Bechem United as their toughest game of the just ended ended.
Gold Stars defeated Bechem United by a goal to nil during the first round of the season in their maiden GPL appearance.
Impressively, they finished the season on the ninth position with 46 points.
Out of the 18 league clubs Gold Stars were the only side to earn 40 points at home but picked only six points from their away fixtures.
Coach Michael Osei speaking in an exclusive interview with Accra-based Original Tv declared the round seven game against Bechem United as their difficult game of the season.
“I will choose Bechem because that game was very difficult for us. We were not getting the chance to penetrate because they were very compact, they were very discipline and very tactical. We won that game 1-0 and I will say the Bechem game was one of the difficult games we played.”
Michael Osei joined the GPL first timers in August 2021.
He signed a three year deal with the Bibiani based side after leaving lower tier side Star Madrid FC.
The former Kotoko coach replaced promotion expert Kobina Amissah who vacated his role months after helping the team secure promotion for the first time in the club’s history.
