The Black Stars of Ghana will now have the service of Spanish-based Ghanaian international, Inaki Williams for the upcoming World Cup.
Confirmation from the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday, 5th July 2022 indicates that, the Athletic Bilbao top striker has finally switched nationality to play for Ghana.
The 28-year-old was born in Bilbao, Spain to Ghanaian immigrant parents who crossed the Sahara desert on foot in search of greener pastures in Europe.
Despite Bilbao only recruiting players born in the Basque Country or who learned their football skills at a Basque club, Williams became the second black footballer to play for Los Leones in its 124-year history and has now become one of their too strikers.
