To reggae dancehall artiste, Kojo Korankye widely known as Ras Kuuku has stated that Accra Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh should always earn a call-up into the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars of Ghana.
Afriyie Barnieh, the former Aduman Senior High School student all season has been a poster boy for the Phobians while scoring some important goals despite their poor run in the Ghana Premier League last season.
Although the Phobians struggled, the team managed to end the season with the FA MTN Cup trophy and the President’s Cup title.
Barnieh also had the breakthrough to make his Black Stars debut during the Kirin Cup in Japan under Coach Otto Addo in the previous month.
Speaking in an interview with Angel FM, the Puom Music CEO stated, ”Hearts of Oak has a player called Afriyie Barnieh, the guy knows how to play football very well. He needs to be called consistently to the Black Stars.”
