Asante Kotoko has officially written to Bechem United for the services of their center-back, Samuel Osei Kuffuor and goalkeeper Iddrisu Abdulai. Kotoko believe these two will help their squad in both their foreign and domestic pursuit next season.
The GPL winners registered an interest in the two Bechem United players following their blistering performance last season.
The promising goalkeeper Iddrisu Abdulai emerged as the goalkeeper of the season at this year’s Ghana Football Awards ceremony.
He was awarded for his scintillating performance throughout the season in what was his breakthrough season at the top level.
Iddrisu Abdulai won the accolade ahead of Black Stars goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott and Asante Kotoko goalie Ibrahim Danlad haven accumulated the highest number of votes after ending the league season with 18 clean sheets from 31 top flight appearances for Bechem United FC to set a record of most clean sheets ever recorded in the league.
Elsewhere, Samuel Osei Kuffuor has also been in a good form for the Hunters last season, assisting them in finishing in the top four.
As reported earlier, both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of oak are said to be in talks to sign the 20-year-old defender from Bechem United.
Kumasi-based journalist, Collins Atta Poku has confirmed that Kotoko has officially written to Bechem United for the services of their center-back, Samuel Osei Kuffuor and goalkeeper Iddrisu Abdulai.
The Porcupine Warriors won the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season and will represent the country in the Africa campaign.
The two times Africa champions are in search of high quality players to boost their squad for the CAF Champions League. Iddrisu Abdulai and Osei-Kuffour appear to have the qualities to join the Reds for the he campaign.
