Tanzanian club, Azam FC has completed the signing of 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, James Akaminko.
The Great Olympics midfielder has signed a two-year deal with an option to extend for his new club.
The ex-Tema Youth player sealed the move from the GPL side on Thursday following an expiration of his contract.
Akaminko played played 28 matches and scored two goals with four assists in the just ended season for the Accra-based club.
Below is an official statement from Azam FC after the signing of the Ghanaian midfielder.
“We have signed a two-year contract with Ghanaian midfielder James Akaminko from the Great Olympic.
“Akaminko, 26, has played for US Tataouine (Tunisia), Ashanti Gold and Medeama and Tema Youth (Ghana).”
The Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics completed the signing of James Akaminko on a free transfer in February 2021.
He was also a key performer at AshantiGold SC during his three-year stay at the club since his arrival in Obuasi from Tema Youth FC in 2017.
Akaminko previously had stint with Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC but he left after one season due to lack of regular playing time.
