Coach Annor Walker’s Black Galaxies defeated newly promoted Division One League side Kenpong Academy to end their preparations ahead of the CHAN qualifier against Benin.
The Black Galaxies of Ghana claimed a 2-1 win over the academy boys at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Local Black Stars have been preparing ahead of the double clash against Benin in the preliminary round of the CHAN qualifiers.
In the the game Great Olympics attacker Maxwell Abbey Quaye snatched the lead before Suraj Seidu of Hearts scored to make it two for Annor Walker’s side.
They finished the first half with the 2-0 lead but after recess, Kenpong Academy fought hard and got the only goal with a strike from Sebastien Abekah.
Ghana has been on a good run as they prepare to face Benin in next week at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The local boys have failed to book a place for the CHAN tournament in the last three editions. The were evicted from the tournament by Burkina Faso in the last two editions.
The winner from the upcoming double header will face Nigeria in the final qualifying round.
