CAF women’s inter-club Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year, Evelyn Badu has disclosed the two top clubs she has targeted to be in their colours before she retires from football.

Evelyn Badu, the former Hasaacas Ladies forward was named the CAF inter-club Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year last night in Morocco.

The youngster also won the best player in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after netting five goals to win the golden boot. She led the Ghanaian side to the final of the maiden edition.

The young lady beats off competition from Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Andile Dlamini and South Africa defender Bambanani Mbanie in the Inter-Club Player of the Year category before winning the Young Player of the Year ahead of former teammate Doris Boaduwaa and Morocco’s Yasmine Zouhir.

Badu, who currently plays for Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL has named the female side of Barcelona and Chelsea as her future clubs after achieving glory in African football last night.

The 19-year-old striker, is currently at the camp of the Black Princesses for preparations ahead of the FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup tournament in Costa Rica.

Speaking about her future plans as a footballer, Badu revealed, “I would like to play Barcelona. Is the team of my heart. For me to retire or quit football, at least I have to play Barcelona.

“I want to join Oshoala in Barca or play Chelsea.

“I will be happy to play Barca or Chelsea,” Badu told Gideon Okyere Anim Gatusso on the Super Sports Show on Accra-based Original FM.
