Following these achievements, the CEO of her former club, Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare has expressed her feelings towards the good news.
Whiles speaking in an interview with Accra-based Original FM, the Asante Kotoko board member said, “The feeling was great last night.
“We even predicted it because she won the best player of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League last season and also the top scorer. It was clear.
“I was even thinking that she will win the best player of the year but not the Inter-club or young player of the year.
“The feeling was great because it has been a long time for Ghana to win CAF award both men and women. We are happy.
“She deserves it because of the good job of Coach Yussif Bassigi. It was all joy. I will congratulate her.
“We pray that the Lord Almighty will lift up the U-20 like how he has lifted Badu,” she stated.
The event saw Sadio Mane and Nigerian forward, Asisat Oshoala winning the overall best players on the continent for the men and women categories.
Badu is currently preparing for the FIFA U-20 World Cup with the Black Princesses at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.
