Ghana captain, Gladson Awako says the Black Galaxies are ready to deal with the pressure of breaking the jinx and qualify to the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria.
The team is preparing to end Ghana’s long-term absence from the African Nations Championship and and will need a good result against Benin to open the preliminary stage.
The former Great Olympics player insists the team is highly motivated and ready for tomorrow’s match which will be the opener to chase the ticket for next year’s edition of the tournament.
“I will say they are all ready. Motivation in camp is very high which I can boldly say each and everyone here is ready, and if they should be called upon to defend the nation they are ready to fight a good fight,” Awako assured Ghanaians in a pre-match conference.
The game between Ghana and Benin is scheduled to kick off at exactly 4:00pm at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium whiles the second leg comes off a week later.
