Hearts of Oaks young but promising talent, Seidu Suraj has admitted that despite his recent good form he still believes there is still room for improvement so he can contribute his quota to the success of Hearts and the national teams.
The youngster was one of the brightest spots in Coach Samuel Boadu’s team during the second round of the 2021-22 football season. He indeed impressed every single football fan in all of the games he played and went on to win a few MVP awards.
It therefore came as no or little surprise to followers of the game when he received invitation to the Black Galaxies who are currently preparing under Coach Annor Walker for the upcoming CHAN qualifiers against Benin.
“The past few months have been great for me and my career. It is all down to hard work and being discipline. When I first arrived at Hearts I needed to stay focus, work hard and wait for the opportunity.
“When it was offered to me I knew I couldn’t fail myself let alone fail the fans and my family. I honestly deserve to be where I am now with the national team because I have worked for it. I thank the coach for noticing something good in me. Credit to my day-to-day coach, Samuel Boadu for really pushing me that hard on the training pitch to get me this far at this young age”.
Suraj admitted that he can only hope to continue to work on every aspect of his game to get better than what he is now.
“I can’t take off my foot from the paddle. Once the aim is to get better it means you can’t stop working. It has to be consistent and with good guidance and mental strength Suraj will surely become a household name in Ghana football”.
