Newly-promoted GPL side Kotoku Royals to start preparations for their maiden Ghana Premier League appearance on Friday, 29th July, 2022.
The Oda-based side are set to roar in the Ghana Premier League 2022/23 season.
The team secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the first time in the club’s history after they held Tema Youth to a goalless draw on week 30 of the 2021/22. The Akyem based side booked their spot in Ghana’s top flight after Liberty Professionals also drew goalless in their game against Susubribi.
With the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League set to start on Friday, 9th September, 2022, the newbies will begin pre-season on Friday at Bonsu-Kyebi in the Eastern Region.
Kotoku Royals will be the first local team from the Eastern Region in the league since Power FC were relegated in 2007.
