Ghana Premier League side, Real Tamale United are set to appoint a new coach to replace departing Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko ahead of the 2022/23 GPL season.
The Northern giants have announced the departure of their gaffer, Shaibu Ibrahim on their Social Media handles, claiming the 50-year-old trainer has decided to part ways for a personal reasons.
Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko masterminded the team’s top-flight return after eight years during the 2020/21 season.
He was the only survivor in the massive shakeup in the RTU management and the technical team after gaining promotion from Zone One in the Division One League.
The outgoing tactician, however, guided the team in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, helping them to make their stay possible after a last day 4-1 victory over Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
RTU escaped relegation by placing 15th on the league log with 41 points from 34 matches.

“Real Tamale United will go into the 2022/23 season with a new coach after Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko decided against continuing as head coach citing personal reasons. We’ll like to say a very big Thank You to him.”
