Samuel Inkoom has expressed happiness following Tuesday’s pre-season training with his club, Hearts of Oak.
Inkoom who joined the Phobians last season has already starred in the rainbow colours, having won the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup.
The Rainbows opened camp on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 ahead of the upcoming season.
The day one training of the Phobians was held at the St. Thomas Aquinas School Park in Accra.
Inkoom, the former Black Stars player appeared in the club’s pre-season training for the first time. He was excited about the environment as revealed to Accra-based Original FM.
“I think it was great. We did a hard work and after that we were supposed to go and see the family. I think we did what we have to do as a professional players and also during the off-season we chilled with the family as well.
“The upcoming season is a season that everybody is looking up to. You can see today is amazing, different atmosphere, different environment, different players as well and also our new physical trainer. In my opinion he is a professional,” said Inkoom.
The ex-Basel defender penned a one-year deal with the former Premier League champions after his stay with Georgian side Torpedo Kutaisi.
Inkoom joined the Rainbows after failing to make a move to his former side, Asante Kotoko.
The 32-yer-old became the second high profile player to join the club last season after Sulley Muntari was announced back in February.
Inkoom and Muntari will play a vital role in the team’s journey to the CAF Confederations Cup in the 2022/23 season after beating Bechem United to secure the ticket for the CAF’s second tier inter-club competition.
