The general captain of the Ghana Women’s U-20 national team Abdulai Mukarama has reacted to Ghana’s group in the upcoming FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
The Black Princesses will play against USA, Japan and the Netherlands in Group D of the World Cup.
It will be the first time should the Ghanaians beat off competitions from their opponents to reach the knockout stage since the commencement of the tournament.
The general captain, Mukarama Abdulai admits the toughness of the group but very optimistic of making the nation proud should Ghanaians back them with their prayers and support.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com, the young lady said, “It will be hard but we will get there. Ghanaians should support us with their prayers and believe in us that we can do it,” she stated.
The Black Princesses departed Ghana today, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 to continue preparations for the upcoming World Cup.
Ben Forkuo’s side will face the France National U-20 side on Friday, July, 29 as part of the preparations.
Ghana will play USA in their opening game at the Estadio Alejandro Morera on August 11.
