Gladson Awako, captain of the Black Galaxies has said the team will have to focus and prepare well for the upcoming game against Nigeria.
The Black Galaxies of Ghana will face Nigeria in the 2022 African Nations Championship play-offs after brushing off Benin with a 4-0 aggregate scoreline.
According to the skipper of the Black Galaxies, the clash against Nigeria would be a stern test but they have to prepare well to also give them a tough competition.
Reacting to their 1-0 victory against Benin and speaking about their plans ahead of the Nigeria clash, the Rainbows midfielder stated, “I will give thanks to God because it wasn’t easy. They gave us a very tough game but we stayed discipline and listened to what they taught us. I think it has helped us to win.
“We are not done yet. We will still continue to prepare well and do what that we are supposed to do so that we can give Nigeria a tough competition.
“Everyone knows how Ghana and Nigeria game is. We have to prepare well so that we can beat them to progress into the competition,” Awako revealed in an interview with Richmond K. Entsie of Original FM after the game in Benin.
