The Black Galaxies of Ghana forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is gearing up for the upcoming play-off against Nigeria in the CAF African Nations Championship.
The youngster bagged two goals in Ghana’s double header against Benin in the first round of the qualifiers.
He scored the only goal in the return leg held in Cotonou after Ghana had won the first leg with a 3-0 scoreline back in Cape Coast.
Barnieh will be looking to enhance his striking prowess and help Ghana to beat Nigeria in the play-offs.
Ghana will take on the national team B of Nigeria this month, the second time the two rivals are meeting in a play-offs in 2022.
The Super Eagles couldn’t make it to the FIFA World Cup after Ghana denied them the opportunity in the play-offs.
However, the Local Black Stars now Black Galaxies are hoping to emulate the same thing and bounce back into the CHAN Tournament in Algeria after missing out from the last three editions.
The 21-year-old forward will count on his sharp foots ahead of the upcoming clash.
It will be a stern test for Ghana but the U-20 AFCON winner is poised to make history.

Ghana reached the final of 2009 and 2014, losing to Congo DR and Libya but have struggled to make a return, having eliminated twice by Burkina Faso.
