The management of Kumasi Asante have released a new kits for the upcoming campaign following a decision from the Manhyia Palace.
The management were ordered to remove the image of Otumfour Osei Tutu II from the team’s new kits for the upcoming season.
Asante Kotoko unveiled their kits for the 2022/23 season a week ago with the image of Otumfour Osei Tutu II placed at the right bottom side.
Following the unveiling, there have been many comments from the football fraternity.
However, It has been confirmed that the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been ordered by the palace of Manhyia to remove the image of their patron and the king of the Ashanti Kingdom from the new kits.
The club made the official confirmation on their Twitter handle stating, “We have after further consideration in collaboration with Errea amended our 2022/23 kits”
