WAFA captain, Konadu Yiadom has finally joined Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2022/23 campaign after completing a successful medical on Friday, August 5, 2022.
The Phobian’s long-term target agreed to sign a three-year deal, Ghanasportspage.com can confirm.
Konadu Yiadom was on the radar of Accra Hearts of Oak for months and was deemed to have been close to completing a move to the club during the transfer window in January before it was turned down.
Yet, the Rainbows kept their light on to sign the experienced defender and it was reported that he signed a pre-contract with the GPL giants.
The Phobians will play in the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup and they are seeking to improve their team to shine.
The Black Galaxies defender was identified as the right person to help the team at the defense.
Konadu Yiadom is the fifth signing of the club and his unveiling is yet to be done.
The lanky defender stood to impress many clubs during the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season despite WAFA suffering relegation. He scored two goals and won (7) seven Most Valuable Player Awards.
He was a target for other clubs outside Ghana and GPL winners Asante Kotoko.
