The Porcupines first opposition on their return to the continental inter-club competition has been revealed.
Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko have been pitted against RC Kadiogo from Burkina Faso in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League 2022/23 season.
On their return to the elite inter-club championship after two years will face Burkinabe side for the ticket to the next round.
The draw for the competition was conducted in the Egyptian capital of Cairo today.
The Porcupines are set to travel away for the first leg between the weekend of September 9-11, before hosting the second leg in Kumasi the following weekend between September 16-18.
Should Kotoko emerge winners on aggregate, they will progress into the next round to face the winner from the game between Gabrone FC and AS Vita Club.
Asante Kotoko secured a qualification ticket for the Champions League after winning the Ghana Premier League months ago.
The upcoming campaign will be their first appearance in Africa since 2020 when they were kicked out from the competition by CAF due to COVID-19.
