Cameroonian goal monger, Frank Etouga Mbella and outgoing Imoro Ibrahim have received special awards from Kumasi Asante Kotoko Supporters Group in China, Circle 0086 for emerging as outstanding players for the Kumasi-based club.
Frank Etouga Mbella bagged 21 goals in his maiden season for the Porcupine Warriors to appear as the second top scorer in the Ghana Premier League.
The Al Hilal Omdurman new signing Imoro Ibrahim also showed a master-class performance in the defense of the GPL record winners.
He made 28 appearances, scored two goals, and provided eight assists in the process.
Both Etouga and Imoro played a key role for the Porcupine Warriors last season as they clinched their 24th Ghana Premier League title.
The awards include 1,000 cedis of cash prize which was presented by the circle’s leadership via MOMO to the players directly account and Nana Kwame Darkwa and Thomas Boakye Agyemang presented the other prizes on behalf of the circles.
The Chinese-based able supporters in their appreciation letter stated that “Kumasi Asante Kotoko Supporters Group in China, China Circle 0086 under the able leadership of Chairman Richard Oduro Koranteng (KJB), made a special presentation to two
outstanding players of our great club in the just ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League(GPL)
season on Thursday, August 11, 2022. The two special awards, along with a cash prize were
presented to
- Player of the season: Imoro Ibrahim and,
- Top-scorer of the season: Etouga Mbella Franck Thierry
The aforementioned players were awarded for their splendid performance throughout the
