Former Ghana Football Association presidential candidate, Madam Amanda Akuokor Clinton has responded to the rumor of occupying the CEO position of Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak.
Rumor has it that Hearts of Oak have held talks with the business mogul over the vacant Chief Executive Officer [CEO] role.
The GPL giants have been without a CEO following the resignation of Frederick Moore years ago.
With the new football season set to kick off in September, the Phobians are hopeful to get a replacement for their former CEO.
Other reports indicate that 3 Music boss, Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu was linked to the vacant job ahead of the new football season.
However, it has been reported that the leadership of the club has held talks with the renowned lawyer to take up the position, and remains a favorite for the job.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com, the CEO of the founding partner of the Law Office of Clinton Consultancy for the last 13 years is famously known for contesting the 2019 Ghana Football Association [GFA] presidential race. Claiming she has been notified with phone calls (from journalists) about the job.
“I’ve been receiving phone calls about that but is still something I don’t want to talk about at the moment”.
“Everything is open in terms of… You know the opportunity is something I always grab and if it is a good step, of course, I would…,” Amanda told the leading sports page in Ghana, Ghanasportspage.com.
The CEO of Bitcoin Africa is famously known for contesting the 2019 Ghana Football Association [GFA] presidential race.
However, Hearts of Oak will represent the country in the 2022/23 CAF Confederations Cup having won the FA Cup last season.
2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions will play either AS Douanes (Burkina Faso) or ASR Bamako (Mali) in the second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup.
The MTN FA Cup winners will also begin their 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League campaign with an away game against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
