Accra Hearts of Oak spokesperson, Kwame Opare Addo has named Mohammed Alhassan as the best defender in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians PRO believes the former WAFA center-back is the most decorated defender in the local scene.
Opare Addo revealed whiles speaking an interview with King Edward Akuffo on Atinka Tv’s Kick-Off Sports Show.
“Mohammed Alhassan is the best center back in the Ghana premier League. There is no local central defender in Ghana who is better than Mohammed Alhassan. He has put in a consistent performance in the last two seasons,” he said.
The Black Galaxies defender was fantastic when Hearts of Oak won the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup in the 2020/21 season.
He also played a key role at the defense of the Rainbows in the just ended season, helping them to defend the MTN FA Cup title after beating Bechem United.
On Friday, August 12, 2022, Hearts of Oak have offered the experienced center-back an improved contract ahead of the new season and he is expected to lead the team again in the upcoming campaign as Samuel Boadu prepares a good side to chase Asante Kotoko for the GPL title.
The Phobians will also play in the 2022/23 CAF Confederations Cup.
