Ghanaian forward, Augustine Okrah opened a goal scoring account in the Tanzania Premier League as he scored an opener in Simba’s 3-0 victory over Geita Gold FC in a day 1 fixture.
The former Bechem United bullet player, who joined the Tanzanian giants after the 2021/22 league season got the opener on the 37 minute to give Simba the lead.
Simba however, rallied to complete the game with a 3-0 victory at home after loading another two goals in the second half courtesy of Moses Phiri and Clatous Chama.
The former Bechem United talisman was in a superb and excellent form in the game to shine in the red jersey.
It was his league debut for the club following a successful pre-season performance after saying goodbye to the Ghana Premier League.
He scored his first goal for the club during their 1-1 draw with Egyptian side Ismaili FC in a friendly.
Simba SC are on top of the league table with 3 points after day 1.
They will play Kagera Sugar in their week 2 fixture in the league.
