The Porcupine Warriors have agreed to play an International friendly with Sudanese giants Al-Hilal on Tuesday, 23rd August 2022 as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2022/2023 upcoming Football season.
Asante Kotoko previous weeks announced to embark on a pre-season tour in Turkey on 14th August 2022 but the club announced later that, their trip to Turkey has been delayed, due to visa issues.
“Our planned to Turkey for the second phase of our pre-season which was originally scheduled for 14th August 2022 has been postponed due to visa processing delays” the club stated.
The Kumasi lads began their pre-season exercise in early August in Accra with an interim coach Abdulai Gazale following Prosper Narteh Ogum’s decision to leave the club after ten months.
Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal will be competing in the upcoming CAF Champions League next Month (September.)
“The first preparatory match for Al Hilal! We will face Ghanaian Ashanti Kotoko at 7 pm next Tuesday Freezing of tip cards except for the media Entry tickets for fans lack of tv”, Al Hilal confirmed on thier Twitter page.
The game is scheduled to take place in Al Hilal Stadium at 7:00PM.
