The Cameroonian attacker, Frank Etouga Mbella was rushed to the hospital due to illness.
He has been out from the team’s pre-season friendlies because of his health status.
The report indicates that the striker was rushed to hospital on Friday when Kotoko defeated lower division side Ghana Army FC 4-0 in a pre-season friendly.
The news was confirmed by the first vice chairman of the club’s NCC, Nana Kwame Dankwa.
“Mbella Etouga and Mfegue are still at the club and part of the team for the new season. They did not dress in the game against Panthers FC but Mfegue dressed just that the coach opted to rest him,” Dankwah said during a Twitter Space on Saturday morning.
“In the game against Army FC, I arrived at the venue late and when I asked of Mbella, I was told he has been sent to the hospital in a car. He was not feeling well that is why he did not play in that game,” he stated.
Currently, Ghanasportspage.com can confirm that the talented striker has been discharged from the hospital. The date or day for him to return to training will be announced by the team’s medical doctors.
Enough, who joined the club in 2021 was on the form when the club defied the odds to win the GPL title.
He scored 21 goals, making him the second scorer in the league in his maiden GPL season.
Enough is expected to deliver alongside his compatriots Georges Mfegue and Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala in the next season’s CAF Champions League and the local top-flight league.
