The head coach of the Black Galaxies, Annor Walker has provided an update from the camp of the national team B ahead of their clash against Qatar in Austria.
Ghana will play the host nation of the upcoming FIFA World Cup on Wednesday as part of preparations ahead of the their CHAN qualifier against the Super Eagles B of Nigeria.
According to the gaffer, the team is in good form with no injury and he hopes to maintain the face of his squad before Sunday’s encounter.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com, Coach Annor Walker said: “We are here for four teams tournament with Morocco, Jamaica and Qatar.
“We arrived on Saturday and we will play our first match tomorrow with Qatar. We have trained twice. There will be another training session today (5pm in Austria) for tomorrow’s game.
“The game against is 6:30pm in Austria. We will return on Thursday for preparations ahead of the Nigeria first leg encounter in Cape Coast.
“We will play against only Qatar and they have agreed for us to leave after the game so that we can play Nigeria on Sunday.
“Our game against Nigeria will be played at Cape Coast at exactly 3pm like how we played against Benin. That’s what we’ve been told.
“Everything is going on well in camp now. There’s no problem. Everyone is ready for the game against Qatar.
“It is my prayer that we will not record any injury so that I can get all my players to face Nigeria on Sunday,” Annor Walker stated.
The team arrived in Austria on Saturday ahead of the four nations mini tournament.
According to the Ghana Football Association, the Black Galaxies will depart Austria on Thursday to continue preparations ahead of the double header AGA the Super Eagles.
Having defeated Benin in the first round, the current squad are aiming to make a return into the CHAN tournament after long term absence sincerely 2014.
