International Friendly: Afriyie Barnieh on target in Black Galaxies 2-1 defeat to Qatar

The Black Galaxies of Ghana suffered a 2-1 to the Qatar national team in a friendly encounter at the Wiener Neustadt Stadium in Austria in the ongoing four nations mini tournament.

The host of the World Cup eased past Ghana with an early lead on the second minute following the slow start of the Black Galaxies.

Qatar came up with the second goal at the 26th minute before Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored a consolation goal for Ghana in the second half to leave Ghana in a slim defeat.

The Black Galaxies will travel back to Ghana on Thursday to face Nigeria on Sunday in the CHAN qualifiers.

The exercise gives them the high spirit to match on the Super Eagles in the final round of the CHAN qualifiers.

Ghana will have to beat Nigeria to book a ticket for the tournament for the first time after finishing second in the 2014 edition after losing to Libya on penalties.
