The captain of the Rainbows will take on a new position in the upcoming season, Ghanasportspage.com can confirm.
This follows the invasion of former Basel right-back, Samuel Inkoom who joined the club early this year.
The 30-year-old will see himself playing as a midfielder when given minutes or a starting berth by Samuel Boadu, which even the player knows is not his preferred position.
Fatawu Mohammed made 3 Premier League appearances for the Rainbows in their last 10 games in the 2021/22 season which came against Dreams F, Bechem, and Karela United.
But the skipper knows that his best chance of earning a starting berth in the upcoming season will come more when he plays from the midfield, something he has accepted following a decision made by Coach Samuel Boadu according to Ghanasportspage.com.
He led the team to win the GPL title in the 2020/21 season after eleven years of trophy drought.
Fatawu also played an integral part in the team that won the MTN FA Cup after beating Ashantigold SC in Accra.
