Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richmond Lamptey has left Ghana today, 24th August 2022 to join teammates in Sudan. The players are currently in Ethiopia for transit.
The veteran midfielder did not go with the team due to some passport reasons and now everything is sorted. Lamptey together with Former WAFA full-back John Tedeku is expected to touch down this night and join teammates early in the morning.
The Porcupine played 0-2 in their first preseason match against Al Hilal in Sudan Wednesday, 24th August 2o22, and the return leg is scheduled on Friday 26th August 2022 at the same venue. Asante Kotoko will play four (4) games in Sudan before returning to Ghana.
Kotoko will start the season with the super clash against their rivals Hearts of Oak on 5th September 2022.
