The club Licensing Committee met on Friday August 19th, 2022 to review the license application of 18 PL Clubs ahead of 2022/2023 Football season.
After the rigorous process, 8 clubs including Akyem Kotoku Royals FC, Samartex 1996, Nsoatreman FC, Tamale City, Aduana Stars, Bibiani Gold Stars and Great Olympics had their application decision suspended due to the failure of the clubs to submit majority of their documm=ents for the process.
Two (2) other clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak and Bechem United application were also conditionally rejected due to the failure of the clubs to submit a certain criteria. They have been granted a grace period until Wednesday 31st August 2022 to submit their documents or face futher sanctions.
Meanwhile, Eight (8) clubs, namely, Accra Lions, Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelseas, Dreams FC, Karela United, King Faisal, Legon Cities and Medeama SC have been granted a conditional License pending the completion of certain criteria B requirements as requested by the Committee. They have been given up to Wednesday 31st August 2022 to submit these documents or face further sanctions.
The Committee will announce the final decisions on match venues on Monday, 29th August 2022 as part of the licensing process.
