The head coach of the Ghana Black Galaxies, Annor Walker has ruled out difficulties following Imoro Ibrahim’s exit from the Black Galaxies.
The former Asante Kotoko left-back will not be featured in the upcoming clash against Nigeria in the CHAN qualifiers following his move to Sudanese giants, Al Hilal Omdurman.
Annor Walker insists Dennis Korsah has the capabilities of doing a perfect job at the left-back position despite Imoro Ibrahim’s exit and it will not create vacuum in the team.
Speaking on Original FM’s Super Sports Show with Gideon Okyere Anim Gatusso ahead of their first leg against Nigeria on Sunday, the gaffer stated: “For Imoro Ibrahim’s absence, I have Korsah. He was playing with him and he is gone now but Korsah is playing well.
“When Imoro was around they were all playing. Sometimes one play and one sits aside.
“I believe in Korsah that he will do the job like what Imoro was doing,” said Annor Walker.
The Black Galaxies will host the Super Eagles B on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium before the second clash on Sunday, September 3rd, 2022 in Abuja.
The team arrived in Ghana on Thursday after a seven day training camp in Austria where they lost by a 2-1 scoreline to the World Cup host Qatar in an international friendly as part of their preparations towards the the double header against their West African rivals.
Coach Annor Walker is aiming to end the team’s CHAN qualification drought having missed out on the last three editions in Rwanda, Morocco and Cameroon.
They finished second in 2009 and 2014.
