Former GFA Presidential aspirant, Amanda Akuokor Clinton has disclosed why she loves Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club.
Having won three trophies from CAF competitions, 22 GPL titles, 12 FA Cup titles, and others, Hearts of Oak is regarded as one of the biggest clubs in Africa in the 21st century since its establishment in 1911.
The club shares a large number of supporters in Ghana with their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko who have also won two titles in Africa and 24 GPL trophies.
However, its way of running the football has impressed the business mogul who has been linked to the CEO role of the club as many media houses speculated a few weeks ago.
She loves the Rainbows because of their phenomenal works as revealed in an interview.
Asked about whether she supports the 2020/21 GPL winners so far as football is concerned, she answered, “Of course I do. I support Accra Hearts of Oak. I think they are a great team, the oldest team and I support them because of their phenomenal works in terms of football administration at the highest level”, she told Ghanasportspage.com.
Amanda Akuokor Clinton contested in the 2019 presidential elections of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), making her the first female presidential aspirant and losing to Kurt Okraku.
At the end of the elections, she showed her appreciation to the said club as they were the only team that nominated and supported her quest to become the first female GFA president.
