Tanzania giants, Simba SC slapped Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko in a six-goal thriller on Sunday in an international club friendly held in Sudan.
The Porcupines are yet to pick a win in their run having lost to Sudanese giants, Al Hilal Omdurman in their first two games.
Simba SC claimed the victory with a great comeback after Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala had puts the Ghanaians ahead with a 9th minute goal.
On the road, their former forward Augustine Okrah levelled the game for the Tanzanians after the 19th minute.
The Tanzanians later changed their game plan and unleashed a different approach to finish the first half on a 3-1 lead.
In the second half, Asante Kotoko coach Seydou Zerbo made three changes before the first whistle for second 45 as Enoch Morrison, Richmond Lamptey, Rocky Dwamena and Stephen Amankona were introduced as replacements for Eric Serge Zeze, Nicholas Mensah, Osei Bonsu and Isaac Oppong respectively.
But the Tanzanians looked more physically strong and punched their opponent with the fourth goal on the 54th minute.
However, Asante Kotoko reduced the deficit on the 78th minute through Stephen Amankona, who struck a spot-kick awarded to the Ghanaians to end the game in a 4-2 win in favor of Simba SC.
Clatous Chama got brace in the game whiles Pape Ousmane Sakho also gave them a goal after Okrah.
The GPL giants will wrap up their preparations for the upcoming season with another international club friendly with a Confederations Cup participants on Tuesday.
