Berekum Chelsea finished third in the 2022 GHALCA G6 tournament after beating Medeama Sporting Club on Monday.
The Berekum-based side recorded a 4-2 win on penalty shootout at the Accra Sports Stadium and it is their second win over Medeama in this year’s G6.
Kalou Oattara took a first half lead for Chelsea but Medeama pulled a goal back the net on the 64th minute to level the game.
The Tarkwa-based side launched a different approach as they came close to claim victory after getting a comeback lead from the spot kick.
Joshua Agyemang stepped up to slot home the penalty award after Derrick was brought down during the 81st minute.
But they headed onto penalties after Chelsea scored the late equalizer at the 87th minute through a deflection.
Chelsea, however, went on to claim the third position with a 4-2 scoreline on penalty shootout in the 2022 edition of the GHALCA G6 competition.
