New Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams has suffered his first injury since 2016 on Monday evening when he was forced off during Athletic Bilbao’s comprehensive 4-0 La Liga victory over Cadiz.
The Bilbao experienced attacker scored to put his side ahead in the 24th minute of the game before missing a penalty eleven minutes later.
Inak was substituted in the 54th minute meaning he will end his 236 long-term if should he miss Sundays game against Espanol.
The Spanish-based Ghanaian attacker holds a record of most consecutive games played in La Liga for six years without missing a game, having avoided injury and suspension.
The 28-year striker who is expected to make Ghana debut was subbed for Gorka Guruzeta in the 54th minute after he picked an injury and could not continue the game.
They won the game by beating Cadiz with a 4-0 scoreline in the Spanish La Liga Monday evening fixture.
