Newly-signed Accra Great Olympics midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has disclosed his best ever coach he would like to work with again as a footballer.

Badu in an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM named former U-20 head coach, Sellas Tetteh as the best coach he would like to work with. He also showered praises on ex-U-17 gaffer, Paa Kwasi Fabin for his discovery.

The former Udinese midfielder who emerged from Berlin FC in Berekum came through the ranks of coach Sellas Tetteh at the youth level before joining the national team after being discovered by Paa Kwasi Fabin.

Having earned 78 caps for the Black Stars of Ghana, the 31-year-old is well known for his qualities as a midfielder and also the last penalty he converted to inspire the U-20 to clinch a historic World Cup title in Egypt.

Asked about the coach he will be happy to meet or work with in his career again, the Ghanaian international answered, “Sellas Tetteh.”

The aforementioned coach helped Ghana to become the first African nation to win the World U-20 Championship after beating Brazil on penalties in 2009.

Agyemang Badu further explained why he would be happy to work with Sellas Tetteh.

“If not Sellas Tetteh I wouldn’t have reached this stage in my career or have this blessings from God.

“The big one also goes to Paa Kwasi Fabin. He took me from a second division side, Berlin FC to Berekum Arsenal so I hold this two coaches in high esteem,” Agyemang Badu told Asempa FM on Wednesday evening.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu currently plies his trade with GPL giants, Accra Great Olympics after signing a short-term deal with them a few weeks ago.

He followed the steps of former Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari and Samuel Inkoom.

Badu won his first trophy with the Accra-based club on Monday, August 29th, 2022 with a 4-2 victory over Bechem United on penalties in the GHALCA G6.
