Ghana Football Association President, Kurt E.S Okraku has expressed his profound gratitude to coach Annor Walker over a qualification victory ahead of the CHAN 2023 in Algeria.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies beat Nigeria’s Super Eagles ‘B’ 4-5 on penalties after Nigeria’s managed to equal Ghana’s 2-0 win in Cape Coast Stadium last week.
Ghana FA President after the game told the players and the technical team that, he is proud of the team’s great achievements throughout the qualification process.
“I am here to thank and congratulate you. Before you traveled to Abuja, we had a lengthy conversation and indeed you have gone to Abuja to make Ghana proud”, Kurt Okraku said.
“My mission here is to express the gratitude of the GFA and nation to each one of you for the honor done to our dear country. You went in there to seek qualification and no matter the challenges you were able to qualify”.
The GFA Present Okraku stresses the importance of dealing with qualifications especially after Ghana fails in 2014.
“This achievement is valuable because previously we’ve made two or three attempts but we couldn’t make it and you guys have done it” .
“I want to thank coach Annor Walker for this achievement. I remember the day we gave him this job, I promised him that, he has the confidence of the FA. Today he and his assistants have vindicated us for the confidence we had in them” he concluded.
