Ghana Premier League greats Accra Hearts of Oak attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been handed a call up into the Black Stars squad for the September windows of friendly matches ahead of the World Cup finals in November and December.
Ghana, as part of their preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar later this year, will engage Brazil and Nicaragua to get the team in shape for the world cup tournament.
Head coach Otto Addo has named the Hearts of Oak star in his 29-man squad for the upcoming games against the Seleçao. Barnieh led the local stars, the Black Galaxies to outmuscle Nigeria to secure qualification to the CHAN tournament to be staged in 2023.
Ghana will play against Brazil on September 23, 2022 in France before taking on Nicaragua in Spain on the 27th.
Barnieh has become the only local based player to earn a place in Otto Addo’s call up.
