Ghanaian champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have safely arrived in Benin for the upcoming encounter against Burkinabé side, Rail Club du Kadiogo.
The Porcupines Warriors left Ghana this morning with a 22-man squad for the first leg clash of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
The home team Kadiogo, playing home away from home will host the Porcupines at the Stade de l’Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou in Benin.
The Ghanaian champions will also welcome the Burkinabé club in the return leg at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on September 16.
The Stade de Kadiogo Ouagadougou in Yamoussoukro was the initial venue for the much awaited fixture between Ghanaian Premier League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and Burkinabè Premier League champions, RC Kadiogo but it has been moved to Benin.
The failure of Rail Club Kadiogo to finish making renovations to its stadium resulted in the facility not being certified for CAF games.
