Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has provided the details of the CAF Champions League’s first preliminary stage encounter between Asante Kotoko and RC Kadiogo.
The Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko are set to lock horns with the opponent from Burkina Faso in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
CAF has confirmed this decision, noting that the clash was first scheduled to be played at the Stade Yamoussoukro in the Ivory Coast. CAF rejected Stade de Kadiogo Stadium in Ouagadougou insisting that, it does not meet their requirements to stage an international fixture.
The game was then scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast at the Stade de Yamoussoukro Stadium on Friday, 9th September 2022. According to CAF, the said fixture has been rescheduled for Monday, 12th September 2022 at Mathieu Kerekou Friendship stadium in Benin.
CAF has also confirmed that the Togolese referees will handle the game and has also confirmed the GTV Sports Plus as the Television holder to broadcast the game on Monday, September 12th.
