Samuel Boadu, Hearts of Oak coach insists the Rainbows are not down despite defeat to Aduana Stars in a season opener.
The MTN FA Cup title holders suffered 1-0 Premier League loss to the Ogya Boys in a week 1 fixture of the season.
Bright Agyei’s 49th minute strike gave the host the maximum points, and the Phobians could not muster a leveller in the closing stages despite great opportunities.
Samuel Boadu on his emotions after the disappointing defeat said; “Is very bad to lose such a game. I think the boys did well. They created a lot of chances but they squandered it. Is rather unfortunate that it was a little mistake that caused us that goal.
“We are not down even though we’ve lost the first game. We have to go back and prepare very well so that do well in the subsequent matches,” he stated in a post match interview with StarTimes.
Boadu’s side had their chances too but the records of the venue between the two clubs favored Aduana Stars to keep their 1-0 win.
Hearts must now try to turn things around at the Accra Sports Stadium when they host Great Olympics on match-day 2.
