Paa Kwasi Fabin grabbed a vital win for Aduana Stars over Hearts of Oak in his second coming as the gaffer of the Ogya Boys.
The 63-year-old joined the two-time Ghana Premier League champions on a two-year deal to replace Felix Aboagye.
He showed his resoluteness over his former club, Accra Hearts of Oak to pick a deserving vital points courtesy of Bright Adjei.
Adjei connected a shot across the face of goal from Sam Adams to slot home the opener after the Hearts defence fail to deal with a lose ball.
The gaffer after the game has disclosed that both teams played well and demonstrated a great performance but they were the lucky side to win.
“Of course, they played very well. Both teams played very well. We demonstrated a nice game to Ghanaians and the best team won,” he said in a post match interview.
Despite victory, coach Fabin insists they have to correct their mistakes and also work on how they want the team to play.
He has a lot to do in his return to Dormaa. It’s a typical new manager appointment in that he needs to take control of the dressing room, add some spark and energy to performances, impalement his own tactics, bring through the youth and deal with some fan unrest.
“We saw so many mistakes that we need to correct before we play the next game and we are going back to do that. Like I stated earlier on, the team that played had only four old players. All the rest are new boys so it will take time for the team to really play the wat we want them to play,” he said.
