Samuel Ofori wrote his name in the history books of Nsoatreman Football Club as he became the first player to score a Ghana Premier League goal for the club.
Ofori scored the winner in their maiden GPL game against Gold Stars with a well placed strike on the 71st minute from the spot at home.
His goal separated the two sides as Nsoatreman picked up their first ever three points in the topflight.
The Nsoatre-based club now sit 8th in the standings after matchday two following their historic win today.
Coach Mohammed Gargo and his team have an outstanding fixture against the reigning champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
They will visit another newly-promoted side, Kotoku Royals at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on week three.
Gold Stars will also square off against Kassim Mingle’s Bechem United at the Dun’s Park in their next fixture of the BetPawa Premier League.
